Happy 45th Birthday To Us!!
We’re 45 years old this year! Can you believe it? We can’t either.
One eye always on the future
We’re as old as the first computerised spreadsheet on the Apple II, the McDonald’s Happy Meal, and The Clash’s seminal album London Calling. We’ve seen this industry change so much that it’s barely recognisable from 1979, but with every technological advancement, every upgrade, and every industry first, we’ve grown and adapted to stay in the game, often by adopting those changes in their infancy. Lawrence, like his dad, Alan, before him, has a keen insight when it comes to spotting emerging trends and opportunities, and their skill at steering the company towards new horizons has kept WK360 agile and dynamic when our competition has struggled and fallen behind.
We’re nothing without our clients
Of course, as a creative services provider, we’re nothing without our clients, and we’ve been blessed to work with some of the best clients over these 45 years. Names like easyJet, Disney, Boots, Dunelm, Mothercare, Poetry, Wrap, Osprey London, Penhaligon’s, DeWalt... it goes on. Our longest client relationship is over 25 years and counting, and we relish those long and fruitful partnerships with like-minded brands who believe in us with as much conviction as we believe in them. These relationships have given us opportunities to be part of amazing moments in history, such as flying on easyJet’s inaugural flight - carrying the livery we designed, to producing the ballot papers for South Africa’s first ever free election.
The team who put the the work into WK
Speaking of partnerships, we wouldn’t have made it to 4 years, never mind 45, without our amazing, talented team. They show up every day with passion, knowledge, and humour to keep the mice clicking and the proofers whirring. They’re content creators, problem solvers, innovators, lateral thinkers, colour wizards, creative geniuses, wordsmiths, and genuinely the best group of people to work with.
So, cheers to us!
45 years in this industry is no small feat - it’s worth celebrating. We’re proud and humbled to still be here. And we’re just as excited to see what the next 45 years will hold! Check back with us in 2069 and we’ll let you know!
