Three Barks for National Dog Day!

National Dog Day - 26th August 2023

If you’ve ever visited the WK360 offices, you’ll know that we don’t need any encouragement to celebrate dogs and all the joy they bring to our lives. Bright eyes, wet noses and ever wagging tails, our doggy colleagues never fail to bring a smile to people’s faces. So in celebration of National Dog Day, we wanted to celebrate all the full-time, part-time and freelance pooches that call WK360 home.  

OLLY

Our most full-time, four-legged member of staff, Olly-dog is part of the furniture these days. Owned by Jennie, Olly is one cheeky character. Like all terriers, what he lacks in height, he makes up for in personality, and occasionally smell! Olly is a food addict but is on a super strict diet for his own good, much to his chagrin. But as Lunchtime Scrounging Co-ordinator, that doesn’t stop him seeking out any morsel he can get his teeth around, including having a snuffle through the bins and hanging round the kitchen at lunchtime to stare accusingly at anyone using the microwave.  

Olly’s role here at WK is as Head of Unhuman Resources, and this includes napping, eating, napping some more, taking security patrols between his napping points, and barking at the fire alarm tests on a Friday morning.  

STAR

Star is a freelancer here at WK360, coming into the office for ‘doggy daycare' with Helen. Star is a real bundle of energy, and everyone adores her happy face, flappy ears, and excessively waggy bum! The first five minutes after she gets in are a bit mad as she does speed laps round the office, but once she’s said ‘hello’ to everyone, she’s happiest on her blanket at Helen’s feet, occasionally mooching round under the desks to catch up with everyone and get her ears rubbed.  

Star loves a walk and, located as we are in the centre of Luton, gets to enjoy some of the town’s parks and green spaces on her lunchtime rambles. She also loves a puddle, so Helen is always prepared with boots and a towel, because Star is ready come rain or shine!  

COCO

Coco mostly works from home, but occasionally likes to grace the office with her presence, just to touch base and check in with the rest of the digital department. Cool, calm and collected, Coco takes her role seriously, and likes to keep things strictly professional with her colleagues, although sometimes Star can tease out a boisterous bark or two from her!

Coco is definitely our most cultured pooch, fluent in both English and Norwegian - and JavaScript, obviously! You can usually find her camouflaged in her dog bed at the end of Joel’s desk, where she can keep an eye on things in true management style.

LOLA

Lola is our canine part-timer, who pops in for quarterly visits to catch up on her admin. Squirrelled away in her corner office, she likes to keep her head down and get on with things, popping out every hour or so for a drink, a little snippet of small talk with the team, and a good chew of whatever she can get her teeth around!  

In her spare time, she loves a long walk in the fields, and hanging out with her humans, the Gatwards.
