Work with A Winning AI Crew

your cheatsheet for picking the perfect AI Platform for every job

Whilst undertaking research for our latest guide CTRL+ALT+CREATE (coming soon!), we conducted a number of interviews with marketers, and time and again we heard that one of the biggest barriers to AI adoption was a lack of understanding. We had many top marketers tell us that they either didn’t have time to explore what AI does or that they simply don’t know where to start. When one founder told us that he’d benefit from a “cheat sheet” that told him which AI tools are best for which applications, we thought we’d listen. So we’ve compiled a comprehensive guide to AI programmes, so you can find the right model for the right job.

Writing

Writing can be difficult, as our copywriters will tell you! Tone, clarity, coherence and refinement are all skills that must be mastered before the perfect piece of copy is written. Due to the wide variety of copy requirements, different styles of copy are best performed by different AIs.

Most people agree that copywriting is best performed by Claude Opus 4, which is known for its caution around factual integrity and tone-sensitivity. It can be customised to adapt to brand-tone or style, making it useful for consistent outputs. ChatGPT using GPT-5 will yield similarly effective results and is particularly effective when tailored to internal tone-of-voice documents. Although, like any AI, Chat GPT is prone to unhuman sounding tone, the customisable GPTs can help you develop a style that mirrors something you would have written yourself.

If you’re looking to write something a little more informal, tools such as Jasper AI can have a more human feel. While this could be great for social posts or other informal content, it still be prompted with strict guidelines to avoid inappropriately informal tone or verbose output.

Designing

Although most marketers agree that AI is not yet ready for client or final output, tools such as Midjourney are great for getting you off the ground. Midjourney acts as a rapid ideation tool for mood boards or early conceptual assets and is already widely used by agencies for these early-stage processes or internal communication of ideas. The downside of a tool such as Midjourney is its lack of precision for iterative work. The all-too-familiar extra fingers or twisted faces act as a strong barrier to full integration.

Another impressive tool for visual applications is Firefly, built into Adobe photoshop, providing background extensions, retouching or composing. Its integration into photoshop, a tool that so many designers are already comfortable with, makes it perfect for a smooth transition for any less than keen adopters to AI.

Automating Workflow Management

Although not an AI-based tool, workflow management tools are becoming increasingly popular for their time-saving abilities. to improve efficiency within your workflow management there are many “off-the-shelf" tools such as Monday Asana, Trello etc. These systems are fantastic, with AI functionalities embedded into them that have a variety of use cases. You could use them for anything form working to personal admin. Unfortunately, this means that these tools are very general and need a lot of tailoring to suit your company needs.

If you are looking for a more specialised workflow management system, WK360’s Orbit is designed specifically for creative marketing and has AI applications woven into it.

Note Taking

Gone are the days of missing details in meetings so that you could scrawl down the end of what had just been said. Thanks to AI, you can take record your meetings and have them transcribed with impressive levels of accuracy. While there are many tools that can perform this role, Microsoft Copilot is both accurate and already integrated into a service you likely already pay for (Microsoft 365). Although there are other tools, Copilot is the most easily integrated to existing systems and performs just as well as other transcription and note-taking applications.

Researching

While it is important not to rely on AI for all your research (ensure that you follow all ideas to their sources and do not copy AI output without reading and checking), it can be fantastic for finding you resources. Almost all AI chatbots will be able to reliably search and find you information, but at WK360 we have found that ChatGPT is most effective. The trick for researching with AI comes in being specific with your prompts. The more guidance you give AI, the best it will understand what you want. Leave no possible room for error and you’ll receive no errors. That being said, engaging cognitive thinking is still incredibly important and all AI sources should be checked manually.

In summary, if you’re looking one AI tool that will solve all your problems: keep looking. No single tool is best and your workflow may well include a multitude for different usage cases. But owning a fleet of AI software will not make you a superhero in itself. AI still requires your guidance to deliver excellence. Always check outputs and remember that AI is best used as a co-pilot, not an auto-pilot.
