CGI, or Computer Generated Imagery, is much sleeker and subtler than it was a few years ago. With new, advanced software and expert minds using it, CGI imagery has become photorealistic to the point where only a specially trained eye could notice any difference between it and a normal photo.
why use CGI for FLOORING content creation?
At WK360, we use this technology to create quality flooring CGI imagery. We begin by creating a 3D model of the room, then adding texture to the walls, flooring, and all the products that might sit inside it. This means you can show off as many of your products as you like in the room-set. We can fill up the room with rendered 3D models of anything your company manufactures or sells.
Once new flooring has been installed, it becomes near impossible to photograph because as soon as it’s done, feet start walking all over it. This is another reason why CGI Flooring would be a perfect solution. The best part is, once we’re done with the imagery (even long after), you’ll still have access to the 3D models of your room and products. It would take mere minutes to open up the files, make some adjustments, and end up with a completely different image using the same models of your products.

Setting the scene
You may have a fixed idea of how and where you want your flooring shown, or you may need some advice from our stylists and art directors. There are so many different environments that your floor could be seen in and many creative options when using different tiles, for example. The most effective way of sharing our combined vision is with mood boards.
Gathering the assets
The more information the better. From what you have as a starting point (samples, images or artwork) we will create seamless images of your floor that can be stepped without obvious repeat patterns. We will also ask you for references for the surfaces and colours of the floors to create as many variants as you need.
Clay model and visuals
As we gather everything and set about bringing your vision to life, we will share a clay model or visuals. We want to look at the environment and perspective of the flooring, in its raw form.
Picture perfect
The virtual scene with your flooring in place is now ready for the final stages. It has been beautifully lit, and the camera is set! Action, our CGI artist will render your final image ready for our creative post-production retouchers to give the final flourishes to an image you will be proud of.
