Computer Generated Imagery (CGI)
We strive for imperfection.
Yes , you read that correctly! The art of photorealistic CGI is in the little imperfections, such as realistic lighting, accurate modelling and texturing.
Using the latest computer graphics software, our team of CGI experts specialise in room-set and product rendering.
Computer Generated Imagery is incredibly popular for a number of reasons. We first started using CGI to reduce the costs involved in building room-sets.
Because CGI has become so photo-realistic, it can now compliment traditional room-set photography, at the same time reducing the waste and cost involved, yet never compromising quality.
We regularly challenge people to tell the difference between a traditional room-set shot and a CGI-created interior, and they rarely, if ever, get it right!
Producing a CGI product image can be a quick and flexible way to create content when you need to get to market fast.
What are the advantages of CGI?
Cost-efficiency.
CGI can be a much more cost-effective and flexible solution when you have a lot of content to produce or you want to use your assets and freshen them up year after year.
Flexibility.
CGI allows you to use a single asset in any number of ways. You can use it to create online cut-outs or set the product in a room or environment, you can use it for augmented reality, 360 spin sets and more… and if you have a new idea at a later date, you can always reuse the asset and present it a different way.
Saves time.
CGI saves time in the long run, enabling you to edit sets, redecorate them and make them look fresh. By simply reusing the asset you can avoid costly re-shoots.
Helps you visualise.
CGI allows you to go into market before actually manufacturing the product, helping your clients to buy into a product before it actually exists. This makes it especially easy to convey your idea to your board and get feedback, identifying potential design flaws and saving costs on physical prototyping.
It only gets better!
The more CGI you use, the more cost-effective it becomes, as you can reuse assets (models) you’ve used in the past.
When a product range has the same geometric features, it is easy to use CGI to replace/change the artwork and render a new image. Picture a CGI can of fizzy drink - as we already have the 3D model, it’s simple for us to wrap various designs around the model to produce an entire range. Voila, you have your images!
Our dedicated CGI artists strive for imperfection, providing absolute photorealism like you’ve never seen before. We challenge you to tell the difference.
